If you are a medical marijuana patient in the state of Montana, Initiative 148 was enacted on
your behalf and for you. And now that you have your physician’s recommendation, your
first consideration is designating a caregiver. When you have a caregiver, you no longer are
concerned about supply or quality. That is why the legislature allows you to do that. They
understood that, just because it is legal for you to consume marijuana, there was no guarantee
you could get it when you needed it.
But—just as with any service, there are those who will take your money and let you swing.

off. It has nothing to do with the vocation or profession; it is the nature of man. It is inherent

refer to himself as a “caregiver,” MMJ caregivers are just as rife with these unseemly
“delicacies” as any service providers anywhere.
Just because a person refers to himself as a “caregiver” and courts you with claims of the best
product, years of experience, cure for the common cold, and a guarantee of certain
immortality, like any person trying to get into your wallet, they are telling you what they think
you want to hear. But finding the right caregiver is no different than finding the right
mechanic, the right doctor, or the right nanny. For your own sake give the matter the time,
care, and attention you would any service provider you might need.
